As happens fairly often (but still a long way from all the time) I agree with COSATU’s assessment that youth unemployment is a timebomb for the South Africa. Tomorrow’s Youth Day holiday really should be a time for reflection on how we deal with this problem in a more fundamental way than short-term public works programmes, redistribution of wealth and modest economic growth.
